Under the general direction of a Manager of Information Services, analyzes, documents, codes, tests, and maintains computer application systems and data to provide information retrieval required by the Companies. Works with programmers, analysts and user department personnel to ensure application systems change as necessary to meet business requirements and to ensure programs meet technical requirements for performance and results. Thorough knowledge of programming and computer sciences such as would be acquired through.
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent job related experience. Three to five year''s experience in systems programming preferred.
Working in all areas of Data Center Automated Operations: automation, scheduling, production control, performance and capacity, and system availability. Producing a capacity plan covering current vs forecasted utilization requirements. Monitoring, analyzing, tuning and implementing the necessary changes in resource utilization. Prepare metrics to evaluate system performance, analyze the operating system(s) performance, lead efforts to improve efficiency, and recommend changes to improve processing and utilization. Works with development teams to ensure systems adhere to production control, performance and capacity, and ITIL standards. Support the Ecommerce and Customer Access load testing process: Support Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises.
Requirements:
3-5 years programming experience using COBOL and/or REXX.
3-5 years programming experience using DB2/SQL.
Satisfactory work history and excellent attendance record.
JCL, linkage editor, sort, SAS, MXG, CLIST and other system level utilities.
Ability to find and interpret information in complex technical manuals.
Prior experience in application programming and exposure to mainframe computer operation would be beneficial.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
