Casa Systems, Inc. seeks to hire a Principal Java Software Engineer Web NMS development to join its growing software development team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for providing full system and software life-cycle support for web-based GUI, middleware, and database development of Network Management System.
Candidates should be self-motivated, detail oriented, and excited about developing high-quality, scalable software applications.
Design and build the User Interface components using established framework.
Participate in requirements development and analysis activities.
Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in computer science or electrical engineering and 10
years of related software development engineering experience in the telecommunication network industry.
An expert in Java - all around. All tiers of Java, superior knowledge of Core Java, JDBC, JMS, Spring, JBoss, JUnit, JNI. Must be strong with OO design.
Knowledge of Client-server concepts, (3 tier architecture concepts preferred), and GUI.
Superior knowledge of database environment; Mysql preferred.
User Interfaces: Event handlers, SWING, SWT or similar low-latency applications.
System Interfaces: Socket programming, concurrent, distributed programming in Java.
Strong understanding of system analysis and design in multi-threaded applications. Keen understanding of the challenges in multi-threaded development (e.g. deadlocks, race conditions) and practical techniques for addressing them.
Ability to communicate and work with other teams.
Able to quickly learn new technologies, as required.
Able to work in a fast-pace, high-pressure environment.
In-depth understanding of the challenges in developing large scale network management systems.
Knowledge of Linux environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Problem solver Able to be resourceful and figure things out.
Self-confident Able to express opinions and influence effectively.
