Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and qualified professional to assume the role of PCB Designer in our Andover, MA location.
Responsibilities:
The PCB Designer will assist Engineers in the Design and Development of complex and detailed layouts of printed circuit boards for products in the Global Marketplace. Incumbent will:
Collaborate in developing designs of new and modifications of existing high density PCB's.
Work with the PCB team to create or modify design standards and configurations.
Work from preliminary schematics, part lists and basic descriptions of the board functions, configurations and arrangements as defined by engineering.
Design and implement new PTH and SMT PCB designs that meet the electrical, EMC, mechanical, thermal and DFA/DFM requirements of the systems.
Document, archive and manage DxDesigner and PADS PCB database and parts library as required.
Perform checking of symbols, decals, design layouts and detailed drawings.
Collaborate with the PCB team in the development of concepts and techniques.
Procure prototype PCB materials as necessary.
Produce PCB assembly BOMs as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School degree and some level of Vocational training.
5 to 10 years experience in new product development working with DxDesigner and PADS software.
Demonstrated high degree of accuracy in design work.
Excellent documentation skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams in meeting demanding deadlines.
