Oracle Database Engineer with 10 years' experience planning, conducting, and coordinating database software development and integration activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software applications that provide solutions to business/mission problems. Individual expected to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle, correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, document program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls and ensure software standards are met.
Individual Capabilities Required:
Individual will be responsible for redesigning the NESP enterprise standards database. The individual will be responsible for working with other team members to facilitate software application development, integration, and sustainment. Ideal candidate will have at least 10 years NSA Domain experience, preferably with a four year software related engineering degree. As such, the individual should have skills and knowledge in the following critical areas:
Oracle DBA or DBE (3
years of Oracle DBA experience, Oracle 10g and/or Oracle 11g)
Database design, development, testing and Oracle Db tools
Familiar with SQL and SQL queries (SQL Language (DDL/DML) - 2 years' experience
Familiar with data modeling - 1 year experience
Experience designing and creating Oracle database objects (Tables, Indexes, Sequences) - Oracle DDL scripts - 2 years' experience
PLSQL experience - 1 year experience
Experience with SQLDeveloper Data Modeler or other relational modeling tool - 1 year
Experience SQLDeveloper or Toad database tools - 1 year
Experience with SQL Tuning (indexing, hints) - 1 year
Security Clearance: TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph is required for consideration.
