Oracle America, Inc. has openings for Software Developers in Deerfield, IL. Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. Suggest and justify product directions within approved directions. Define responsibilities for new projects and specifies, design and develop software according to those specifications. Provide consultative software guidance and strategic direction associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Define CPQ Product Strategy from Technical Perspective. Design and Develop Application Architecture for Oracle CPQ Cloud. Establish clear guidelines and processes for architectural review of CPQ Development team. Learn and utilize best practices from Oracle products which can work effectively for CPQ Cloud products. Participate in CX cloud strategy and help define role of CPQ cloud in the ecosystem. Modularize the old BigMachines CPQ product to fit the needs of Oracle CPQ cloud. Directly supervise three professional-level employees:
one consulting member of technical staff and two data architects workings in the CPQ cloud product team.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field, followed by 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a software engineer-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. Agile Software Development Process; 2. Technology evaluation for product roadmap; 3. Development Training content creation and delivery; 4. Spring; 5. Tomcat; 6. Maven; 7. Programming using:
Java, EHCache, JUnit for unit testing, and Eclipse; 8. Integrating a CPQ product with Salesforce.com, Oracle on Demand, and Oracle Sales Cloud; 9. Building a robust cloud software platform to generate layout based on user created data and configuration; 10. JavaCC to build an advanced scripting language for users of the CPQ cloud application; 11. Architecting applications involving ability for users to define tables and use them in the application rules engine; 12. Architecting a rules engine in Java application to provide a guided selling and configuration processing flow; 13. Architecting a cloud solution to allow users to define their quoting workflow, rules and processing actions to model an organizations quoting process; 14. Building cloud editors to allow end users to build the proposal documents; 15. Architecting a modularized application using Maven technologies and deploying the web application in product for commercial use. Some travel may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
