Description
The Agile Management Lead will provide high-quality expertise in building team capabilities to successfully transition our Federal customer to agile; educate the team in measuring success in their agile environment, and continuously identify and make recommendations that lead to the customer's evolution to value delivery through agile practices. This will result in the culmination of useful and practical agile processes set up and coached by the customer's Processes and Practices team. The technical landscape of our customer is shifting from a proprietary COTS based framework to open source.
The Lead along with their team is expected to accomplish the following tasks for a successful implementation of a Scaled Agile Framework:
Organizational Change Management
Build team capability for developing self-organizing teams, facilitating release and sprint planning, facilitating retrospectives; removing impediments
Build team capability for developing meaningful and useful agile reporting processes such as Earned Value
Development Coaching
Help build team capability for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery in the customer's cloud based environment
Help build team capability for estimating the size of stories and epics; tasking user stories; supporting the development of high-quality code and other artifacts
Build team capability for agile testing (automated, exploratory, 508, test-driven development (TDD), etc.)
Agile Framework process definition and implementation
Apply principles, methods, and frameworks
Provide hands-on guidance and mentoring in the use of Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM)tool
Strategic and Operating Model
Mentor and provide hands-on guidance in the implementation of a Scaled Agile Framework to build a comprehensive portfolio to ensure projects meet portfolio needs (portfolio reporting, risk management, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with five years of related experience.
PMP
Experience working with the DHS/CBP
