We are currently seeking anAero Acoustic Engineerfor ourTipp City, OHfacility.
Job
Responsibilities:
The Aero Acoustic Engineer will work directly on designing solutions to the air moving systems that will drive innovation in the mechanical structure and software utilized to operate these machines. By understanding the customer's product applications and needs, they will facilitate the sound & vibration testing and provide the technical details required back to the customer. This role will be involved in not only the design, but also the manufacturing process implementation required to ensure excellence in sound performance. This role will interface with the current team of individuals at Regal in the sound labs and aero design areas. This role will also be a Regal lead on the different standard advocacy groups like AMCA etc.
Required Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical with at least 5 years of experience in Noise and Vibration (Advanced degree preferred with related experience),
Solid background in Noise and Vibration with experience demonstrating the effective use of this knowledge is a must.
Minimum of 3 years of acoustics experience using one of the data acquisition platforms like LMS or Bruel and Kjaer.
Knowledge of Solid modeling tools and ability to modify 3D models in order to fit simulation.
Experienced to interpret the simulation data and guide Product engineering for optimization.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in airflow, acoustics, or HVAC industry.
Knowledge of HVAC design/application, motor noise and vibration analysis.
Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma acquired within 3 years.
Design for Lean Six Sigma preferred.
Excellent analytical capabilities combined with testing experience.
Previous experience in application of airflow, refrigeration, or HVAC systems.
Experience managing multiple projects will be a plus.
