Summary:
The Transportation Supervisor is responsible to the Project Manager (PM) for all aspects of the Transportation Division, or any operational task directed by the Installation Transportation Division Chief.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Supervise all personnel of the Transportation Division of the contract.
Responsible for compliance of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Quality Control Plans, and all safety regulations specific to the area of operations.
Acts as the main liaison between the Military and the Contractor for any issues pertaining to transportation.
Responsible for ensuring all movement assets adhere to Preventative Maintenance (PM) checks and dispatches as outlined in the SOP.
Monitors and evaluates employee work performance to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Army regulations.
Manage and direct the Transportation Motor Pool, Personal Property Operations, Passenger Movements, Materiel Movement (Freight), Container Yard Operations, and Unit Movements.

Knowledge & Skills
Qualifications - Experience, Education and Licensure:
Able to read, write, and speak fluent English
Be able to analyze and enter data into Microsoft Office and web based applications.
Have a thorough understanding of military style movement assets.
Past skills in organizing and supervising the movement, deployment and redeployment of personnel and equipment; both in an Army and joint environment.
Proven technical experience in the interpretation and use of military transportation automation systems, and civilian transportation management and cargo tracking systems.
Required:
Associates degree or equivalent military and/or civilian experience.
Typically, a minimum of five (5) years' experience as a supervisor of a complex military transportation operation.

Directly supervise all work area leads in those activities.

Near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and keyboard; lift horizontally and vertically.

Job is performed primarily in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. Walking and/or driving to dispersed work locations is required, which includes outdoor locations. The project is located in north-central Kentucky, where weather conditions can range from sub-zero temperatures with icy roads to 100
temperatures and high (90+) relative humidity.
