Costume Buyer Administrative & Office Jobs at Geebo

Costume Buyer

Company Name:
Fun.com
We here at Fun.com just keep getting more and more items. In fact, were expanding so much that we need another person to help keep our warehouse stocked with new product! Being a Costume Buyer seems like it would be a great job, doesnt it? Spending your day researching the newest trends, looking at various esoteric pieces of pop culture and finding new costumes all day longIt seems like a dream, right?
Thats because it is.
Being a Buyer actually involves a lot more analysis and navigating through the Great Excel Forest of Data to make decisions. There is a lot of drilling deep, deep down into deep, dark, depths of data. Down to a single product at a single size, where we look at sell-through percentage, potential restock issues, tie-ins to trends, whether new products may compete with our current selection and tons more variables.
Then our Buyers do it again and again and again and again and again
What we need is to find people who love crunching numbers and data analysis, along with design and pop culture. Those people might be rare, but unlike the beautiful and majestic Sasquatch, we know for a fact that such people exist. Were still a little iffy on Sasquatch. Did we mention how much youd better love Excel? Because you better.
If youre the kind of person who: loves an intellectual challenge with a steep learning curve; looks at the price of something at 17 different websites before making a purchase; knows how to make a persuasive pitch, backed up by hard data and evidence; and understands why somebody might want to buy a horrifying, yet sexy, clown outfit then you might be exactly who we are looking for.
