Performs quality engineering assignments, utilizing problem solving techniques, process improvements, auditing techniques and quality principles. Coordinates and implements continuous improvement methods and processes that support product quality, cost and delivery goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Root cause analysis.
Problem solving techniques.
Statistical process controls.
Design of experiments.
Continuous improvement activities.
Mistake proofing.
Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Advises customer, internal company management and related departmental staff of the project status and problems.
Identifies potential or existing problems, performs analysis and provides counter measures.
Meets quality and quantity levels of assigned work, housekeeping, and safe work practices
Generate reports, graphs, and charts as needed.
Oversees data collection and interpretation to coordinate improvement efforts.
Verify accuracy of all documentation.
Evaluate the results of customer / internal corrective responses as to acceptability of corrective action and potential for improvement.
Interact with external customers, internal customers, and suppliers.
Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required to support department / company scheduled targets / objectives in a quality / timing manner.
Ability to travel for extended periods of time with limited prior notice.
Auditing of established processes / systems for compliance to controlled APQP related documents. Coordinating revisions / corrections as needed.
Working knowledge review of, and adherence, to customer specific approval process(es) (PPAP, PSW, etc.)
Education:
High School Diploma, GED or higher
Experience:
Minimum 6 years in the Quality field with minimum 5 years in manufacturing environment.
Evidence of automotive, plastic injection molding, and / or manufacturing background preferred.
Skills:
Computer skills in working with Windows operating system (Excel, Powerpoint, Access) as well as Word Processor, Spreadsheet software.
Above average mathematical skills, written skills, and verbal skills.
Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
Capable of overall professionalism in a business environment
Capable of using basic measurements devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators and etc.
Must be able to judge color visually and must pass the Farnsworth - Munsell Hue test ever 2 years and pass with a minimum score of 50.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
