Summary:
Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products. Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products. Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades. Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system. Designs, codes, tests and implements tools for operations automation. Works on most phases of software systems programming applications, and may require instruction and guidance in other phases. Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Participates in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems. have the technical background and skills to perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation. Ability to design and develop with of advanced networking techniques.
Principle Duties:
Serve as the Software System Safety engineer for each assigned tactical system with the following duties
Review requirements and design documentation for possible safety hazards
Participate in System Requirements Reviews, inspections, and walkthroughs to identify possible safety hazards
Brief safety hazards at the Requirements and Test In-Process Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews
Maintain the safety database where all safety hazards are monitored
Review software with respect to safety considerations
Review test procedures to ensure all safety sensitive areas of the system are adequately tested
Review software problem reports and attend Data Review Boards to identify any safety issues
Identify the design, code, testing, or training modifications needed for a safety hazard mitigation plan and coordinate with the appropriate agency
Perform probability and severity hazard ranking, causal factor identification, preliminary hazard analysis, fault tree analysis and subsystem safety analysis.
Prepare and deliver the Safety Assessment Report (SAR) or System Safety Release Letter to coincide with the delivery of the Test Report at the end of the development cycle
Prepare and present technical briefings
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, to include the ability to work on multi-functional teams, as well as proven verbal and written communication skills
Required Skills:
Must have proven analytical ability in order to identify potential software safety hazards
Must have demonstrated experience in providing functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.
Must have demonstrated experience in participating in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems
Must have demonstrated experience using your technical background and skills to perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation.
Desired Skills:
Preferred degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
