The appropriate individual will be an integral team member of the Purchasing department with specific goals and objectives supporting the overall company plan.
The Commodity Buyer forMROworks collaboratively with Cooper's manufacturing locations in sourcing and procuring all MRO material for Cooper Standard. Thisposition requires knowledge of MRO contracts, suppliers, and the marketplace. Primary focus is on strategic sourcing and procurement analysis to determine best methods, techniques, and strategies for optimizing the MRO spend.
Commodity Buyer - MRO will be responsible for reducing the overall cost of goods and services including the following initiatives.
o Determine optimal sourcing as appropriate. Distinguish between price and cost
o Manage supply base with respect to their ability to supply products in accordance with the organization's requirements and cost parameters
o Support commodity strategies and relevant action plans to meet business needs
o Identify lean savings through supply chain and operations involvement; lead cross functional teams as necessary to realize lean savings
o Conduct annual supplier business reviews focused on strengthening strategic relationships in order to improve key Cooper Standard metrics
o Degree in Business or Engineering preferred; must have background in specific commodity identified for opening. MBA is a plus but not required.
oAt least 5 years experience in MRO and/or Indirect purchasing
o Previous buying experience in an automotive related industry preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
