Marketing Segment Director
Complete and maintain market assessments of assigned segments. Market assessment will include size, share, growth, geography, sub segmentation, target identification and needs assessment. Document the role and needs of each influencer (End User, Designer, Contractor, etc.) in each segment. Also, create a complete competitive analysis that documents their strategy, strengths and weaknesses. Assessment will be developed in a highly collaborative environment along with senior management, sales, sales ops and product teams.
In partnership with the Commercial Leadership team, translate the assessment into a go to market strategy that creates a unique proposition for the customer and beats competition. The strategy will include all customer touch points such as product, communications, logistics, installation services, credit, maintenance with partners, etc. The strategy will also include priority of segment targeting, territory priority, resource allocation, and implementation plan.
Based on the identified targets develop positioning and messages that aligns with the Mohawk Group Brand Strategy. Maintain messaging documents for each sub segment that roll up to the segment and overall Mohawk Group messaging. Ensure that key business priorities such as Duracolor and Sustainability are woven within our messaging in a integrated and pervasive way.
Work with sales, sales ops and product teams to develop go to market plans including technology, communications and training.
Work with the Commercial Creative and digital teams to execute all communications elements including literature, digital, trade shows, PR, etc.
Work with Mohawk Group Sales Academy team to develop best in class training.
Work with Sales Ops to ensure Navigator, Sales Link and all other technology tools are optimized to support and educate.
Work with Sales Ops to create key metrics and scorecards to track success.
Regularly travel with the Mohawk Group sales team to gain segment insights, improve sales/customer support and train sales team.
Lead the messaging and go to market plan on all product launches. Work along with sales to understand the target segments and appropriate messages for the segment. Develop plans to achieve launch objectives.
