LAB TECHNICAL ASSISTANT contract opportunity with a well established manufacturing firm in Nashville, TN. Potential temp-to-perm. Local candidates.
Responsibilities for the Technician
Support Lab Chemist in R&D program in preparing, spraying, testing, and evaluation of coatings to meet specific project requirements
Under direct supervision, mix formulation of coatings for testing
Assist in supervising and trouble-shoot the production of products in manufacturing
Complete laboratory notebooks, technology/formulation databases, formula cards, and technical graphs, tables, and reports
Interface with customer assistance participating in occasional visits to customer facilities and write customer visit reports and other R&D reports
Work within company safety rules and guidelines
Requirements for the Technician
HS education and minimum 2 years industrial experience
Self starter, high initiative, energy level, and ability to follow procedures and complete documentation
A PLUS to have Lab related experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
