One of our clients, based in Nashville, is searching for a candidate to fulfill the role of Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
Assist in the timely, accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
Assemble, interpret and prepare formal summaries of activity in specific financial accounts.
Provide explanations for changes and variances as necessary.
Adapts accounting functions to current technology of accounting systems
Generate monthly financial reports for collective analysis with key Finance partners.
Assist with preparation for any financial audits and reporting.
Review daily cash, AR and AP reports for accuracy.
Investigate, document and provide solutions to improve internal controls and ensure policy and procedures are in line with company standards.
Supervise a staff of five, including general accounting, payroll, billing and accounts payable.
Perform other projects as determined by the Controller.
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
To qualify for consideration, you must meet or exceed the following:
Bachelors' degree in Accounting (CPA a plus) with 4
years of experience
Minimum 2 years in a supervision role, preferably in an accounting capacity.
Extensive broad-based accounting operations experience, including financial statement preparation and auditing processes
Advanced knowledge of GAAP, GL and month end close processes
Possess strong skill set in Excel and Word. Experience using Great Plains is a plus.
Successful candidates are able to lead a team with a positive, upbeat demeanor.
Must be very detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, high demand environment, with the ability to multi-task on a variety of projects at one time,remain flexible and enjoy being a part of a team environment.
Strong customer service skills are required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
