Who is a Member Engagement Specialist Intern?
The Member Engagement Specialist Intern will be responsible for engaging the St. Cloud community in partnering with Affinity Plus and planning marketing events throughout the summer for our local branches.
What's an internship like at Affinity Plus?
An internship at Affinity Plus will not be full of filing papers, taking coffee orders and making copies. Interns at Affinity Plus will be part of something bigger than just doing transactions and the mundane. Those chosen for our Summer Internship Program will partner with a leader and/or a mentor to take responsibility and ownership in a specific project. We're looking for candidates who are energetic passionate, independent, creative and not afraid to think outside of the box. Our intent is that you will not only learn ins and outs of a credit union, but gain experience in understanding our vision and philosophy, while engaging our community and our members.
What are some of the tasks you may do on a day-to-day basis?
Participating in events with both of our St. Cloud branches.
Developing and implementing branch activities to engage existing members.
Developing and implementing community activities to engage new and prospective members.
Engaging existing members and community business partners to support Plus it Forward and other community events/fundraisers which benefit local non-profits.
Requirements:
What does it take to be a Member Engagement Specialist Intern?
Intermediate computer skills are required, as you'll be using multiple pieces of software on a daily basis, often times more than one at a time.
Excellent follow through skills. Dropping the ball is not an option when it comes to our members and our commitments to them.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to plan and execute with a diverse group of people.
Ability to work in a team structure and bring forth ideas and potential solutions to your peers.
Enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor's program in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related field.
Workplace Environment:
Sitting and working at a computer 98% of the day
Utilizing the phone 60-65%
Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, mousing, phones, etc.
Additional Information:
This is a paid internship at $10/hour. These are 10 week long internships and interns will be expected to work 40 hour per week. The internships will run from June 2 - August 8.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
