Summary:
The primary function of the Frozen Food Buyer is to order all products for the Frozen Food section of the Grocery department. The buyer also performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries, moving backstock to the floor, merchandising products, and stocking shelves. He or she participates in regional programs for purchasing and promotions and assists the Team Leader in organising and developing promotional displays.
DUTIES:
Performs all duties and responsibilities of a Grocery Supervisor
Order all products for the Frozen Food section in the Grocery Department.
Seek out new and exciting Frozen Food products and create and negotiate price bids.
Maintain a good working relationship with the Regional Grocery Coordinator and Buyer and participate in Regional Promotional programmes.
Control spoilage, achieve margin goals, and support the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader in conducting inventories.
Maintain financial profitability by meeting and exceeding margin and sales targets.
Maintain accurate purchase journals and process invoices and credits.
Educate customers and Team Members about Frozen Food products.
Maintain a clean and organized back stock area.
Provide excellent customer service.
Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of two years retail grocery experience or the equivalent.
Analytical ability and proficiency in math sufficient to calculate margins, monitor profitability, and manage inventory.
Knowledge of frozen foods and industry trends.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Should be able to do, or be able to learn to do, computer word processing, spreadsheets, order processing, and to use internet software.
Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
Essential Job Functions:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
