The Wendy's Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in managing the operations and staff of a Wendy's restaurant, including the execution of all company policies, procedures, programs and systems while promoting ethical business practices and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. He/She is practiced at business and financial management, people motivation, and communications. Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible to:
o Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures
o Ensure food safety procedures are executed according to company policies and health/sanitation regulations
o Work with management team to meet sales goals vs. prior year
o Manage food, labor, paper costs, and other controllable expenses
o Execute company policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product, and equipment
o Monitor inventory levels through ordering to ensure product availability
o Manage and maintain safe working condition
o Manage crew employees in a manner that maximizes crew retention
o Interview and recommend team members for selection in hiring
o Provide proper training of team members through established systems and follow through to ensure compliance with company standards
o Anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action
o Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards
