Responsible for ensuring that all supplies and equipment necessary for the daily operations of the pharmacy are available. Supervises Purchasing Specialists and Receiving Specialists. Responsible for maintaining continuity with the returns of drugs to the pharmacy, handling and processing state medication returns in accordance with State mandates and criteria, and reconciling expired medications and for pharmacy purchasing and inventory management.
Review and maintain inventory supply levels as required.
Utilize inventory control programs and policies to achieve targeted inventory levels and turns.
Identify appropriate order levels, place orders, and monitor accuracy of reordered inventory shipments received.
Ensure that inventory is properly replenished to the appropriate dispensing areas within the pharmacy.
Receive and stock product
Check returned products for expiration dates.
Review the inventory and purchasing needs on a daily basis.
Coordinate resolution of all inventory order problems (i.e. back orders, manufacturer outs).
Prepare, participate in and monitor accuracy of all physical inventories.
Create bins and labels for new product
Organize items refused from facilities.
Ensure products are disposed of according to expiration dates and required handling procedures.
Maintain Purchase Order log and review and approve invoices for payment and provide reports for and track all Credits (wholesaler and other) and inventory transfers, as required.
Process returns, determining credit eligibility and manage restocking of inventory
Supervises appropriate Purchasing and Receiving staff.
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

years Customer Service experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to perform accurately and efficiently when inputting information
Possess and obtain knowledge of drug names - generic and trade. Ability to recognize subtle differences in names and number
Knowledge of perpetual inventory processes and systems preferred
Preferred
Qualifications: _(if above and beyond the minimum required)_
3 years of experience in pharmacy or long-term care setting
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
