About the Role:
McAfee is seeking a motivated candidate to work within its Infrastructure team based in Beaverton, OR. We are currently seeking a candidate to work within our data center and lab environments installing servers, managing hardware events, and deploying physical infrastructure (racks, PDUs). This candidate will also be performing standard administration duties of Windows, ESX, networking, Linux, and VMware.
Key
Responsibilities:
To diagnose and remediate hardware issues on deployed infrastructure
To deploy systems across a variety of hardware and operating systems
To assist in gathering and producing telemetry data (monitoring, reporting, alerting)
To deploy/maintain system level patches and AV
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
An experienced, versatile and creative engineer with system administrator level experience of Linux, Mac and Windows
Self-starter and highly motivated
Ability to work weekends, flexible hours, and travel if needed
Ability to participate in an on call rotation
Background in supporting troubleshooting efforts on various degrees of hardware (servers/desktops/laptops)
VMware vSphere (VCP) certification
Microsoft MCP certification on various Operation Systems
Knowledge/use of SAN and storage technologies, NetApp preferred
Awareness of ITIL, AGILE, and/or DevOps best practices
Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN (Switches, VLANs, Routers, VPNs, Firewalls, MPLS and Security) to assist Network team in design and troubleshooting
