The Engine Lab technician is required to monitor, setup, and control engine tests in accordance with ASTM procedures working in environments containing hot surfaces and rotating machinery. Specific job assignments include operation of analytical equipment, coolant and oil flushing apparatuses, fork lift driving, and confined space entry. Shift work is required with occasional overtime. Lab technician may also provide assistance in other areas as need, such as maintenance and fleet testing.
The Engine Lab technician must have an automotive background, be able to communicate well with others, be self-motivated, flexible, capable of heavy lifting, pulling and have knowledge of computers.
