Inovalon, a national provider of healthcare data abstraction and chart review services, is currently recruiting a dynamic individual to join the managementteam within the Quality department. The Quality Lead will lead the communication between team members, identify and lead resolution of clinical and non-clinical problems, serve as a project expert, and ensure that team members are following operational policies, procedures and strategies to enhance accuracy and productivity.
The responsibilities of this position include:
1. Complete overreads or re-overreads for maintenance and/or preceptee assignment weekly and report to Quality Managers weekly or more frequently as needed;
2. Review and approve appropriate time off requests via Ultipro, ensuring you have adequate staffing at all times as needed to meet company needs;
3. Review, correct if needed and approve timecards via Ultipro system for your team biweekly, on the Monday prior to Friday's payday;
4. Review reports each morning and discuss performance as needed with those below benchmark.
5. Check daily attendance and discuss attendance issues with team members as needed. Make frequent rounds for members on your team;
6. Assist team members with IT issues following Inovalon protocol;
7. Monitor daily work flow and assist Quality Manager with priority assignments;
8. Develop and submit improvement plans for team members who perform below departmental standards relating to attendance, accuracy and productivity;
9. Maintain Outlook Calendar arranging interviews, team meetings, Quality Manager meetings and Director meetings as needed;
10. Prepare agenda for individual team meetings, chair the meetings and prepare meeting minutes for distribution to the team and Quality Manager;
11. Maintain communication with other departments as needed, such as Human Resources, Operations, Payroll and IT to ensure the efficiency of your team;
12. Prepare Staffing Report and Weekly Team Report with other Leads on your Team to be submitted weekly to your Quality Manager and place in designated location following department policy;
13. Recommend management actions that might improve standards and departmental operating procedures;
14. Complete all annual appraisals and submit to Quality Manager for approval;
15. Complete all performance improvement plans as necessary for team members as directed by Director and/or Quality Manager;
16. Maintain ongoing verbal and email communication with in-house, remote team members and Quality Managers. Conduct one-on-ones with all team members as directed, and document accordingly;
17. Provide training as necessary to staff to include scheduled overreader training, department CEUs, and any new process training as assigned by Quality Manager;
18. Attend meetings and trainings as needed and required by the Quality Department;
19. Assist with Escalations and other projects as needed and directed by Quality Managers;

Qualifications include
RN/LPN or Certified Medical Coder;
3-5 years work experience, preferably with medical record review and chart abstraction;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook;
Project and personnel management experience preferred;
Exceptional problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to resolve issues within Quality;
Professionally skilled in verbal and written communication and
Meticulous organization skills, with the ability to multi-task, and the ability to make sound decisions in a timely and independent manner.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
