BridgeView IT is seeking a Portal/Web Senior Associate for a 3-6 month contract role with one of our top clients.This role is located in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.Our client is specifically looking for aPortal / Web Senior Associate to support internal knowledge management projects by gathering business and data requirements from various internal business teams (Marketing, HR, Market Development, etc.) and providing web-based Portal solutions.
This role is also responsible for identifying when site requirements dictate the need for light configuration or custom IT development. As such, this role will also liaise with US Portal Technology Manager, local IT teams and off-shore teams to coordinate implementation and ensure tasks are executed within scope and are compliant with technical and design standards.

Works with the US Portal Content Integration Associate Director to determine the implementation needs for employee Portal sites and related content areas.
Coordinates requirements and activities with content owners, technical managers and their teams to ensure content and applications are properly integrated
Identifies functionality requirements, and, where appropriate, works with IT to identify development needs and dependencies.
Works with the Program/ Project Manager to identify roles, deliverables and timelines.

Promotes adoption of the overall Knowledge platform and contributes to change management efforts

Updates standards, processes and templates related to content support and compliance with Portal governance
Prepares training/documentation on standards, guidelines and tools
Provides hands-on support to content publishers so they can efficiently create their pages and manage their content

Works with global counterparts and vendors on implementing standards consistently and integrating content and functionality

Strong communication/documentation skills (written and verbal)
Experience with web site configuration (page mock-ups and layout, content management)
Ability to work collaboratively
Understanding of SharePoint (content management) and MS Office
Thorough understanding of other web technologies including reporting and wireframe/mock-up tools
JOB OVERVIEW
This person will work with content owners in various business units to document their business needs, understand their content inventory, and identify solutions and functionality. This role will also manage activities related to web site creation planning, page set up, testing and launch.
This role will handle new projects as well as day-to-day maintenance of the enterprise Intranet.
5-7 years working knowledge of content management, information architecture, portal, search and collaboration tools and best practices
Solid understanding of intranet/web development tools and technology especially SharePoint and HTML
Demonstrated knowledge in supporting content management processes for Intranets
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of project management methodologies
Proficient with MS Office
Prior experience with Mobile, Social Media or Search technologies a plus
