SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Construction Project Manager provides direction and oversight for all aspects of construction on multiple assigned project(s), consisting primarily of interior tenant build outs. Manages project costs to insure completion within budget expectations. Works with General Contractors to develop project schedules in order to meet project deadlines. Inspects construction in progress to enforce compliance with plans, specifications, and project timelines. Schedules and directs contractors and vendors through all activities until completion of the projects. Enforces contractor/vendor compliance with building rules and regulations. Reviews and recommends for approval contractor and vendor pay requisitions. Assists the Corporate Real Estate Department in developing project budgets and estimates and provides progress updates including cost tracking reports. Evaluates plans, specifications and related construction documents for Constructability. Maintains strong client relationships and communicates and collaborates with Office Managers to ensure client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT:
Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Construction experience is required.
Strong ability to read and understand plans and specifications and comprehensive knowledge of commercial construction means, methods and best practices and related systems are required.
Knowledge of construction practices, critical path scheduling and construction cost estimating and standards mandatory.
Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills a must
Must be able to work independently, in a fast paced and dynamic environment, where attention to detail and customer satisfaction are of primary importance.
Proficiency in computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of products a must have.
Must be willing to travel up to 30% including some weekends to effectively manage construction and tenant move in activities.
