Summary
This position is responsible for representing Rantoul Foods with consultants and contractors on a knowledgeable level and be able to make basic decisions on behalf of the Rantoul Foods with respect to overall design, sourcing and implementation for all build-out and new construction projects as well as all plant enhancement projects. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience managing large scale Mixed Use construction projects. Individuals must possess strong leadership abilities and be responsible for managing subcontractors and suppliers, cost monitoring, scheduling and problem solving
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct team members (employees and consultants) at all levels of contract administration.
Run a minimum of 5-12 simultaneous projects at various stages of work.
Using knowledge of construction procedures, draft reports during site visits.
Validate drawings and provide feedback to required personnel.
Detail most building types. Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
Represents client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
Prepare studies and reports, project designs and plans.
Directs activities of entities engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
Determine and prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Issue written and verbal instructions.
Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to contract expectations.
Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subcontractors. Coordinate the preparation of plan reviews with various subcontractors and Rantoul Foods management.
Prepare and document budget requests; administer budget in assigned area of responsibility.
Plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and evaluate plans, contracts, and subcontractors for all new construction projects as well as enhancement projects.
Track subcontractors progress on the job, maintain the project schedule and coordinate with various agencies for reporting and compliance with project documents and specification
Ensure applicable codes, regulations, permits and requirements for assigned projects are met. Coordinate required inspections.
Responsible for quality control & Project Safety
Provide on-site coordination of manpower, materials, equipment and site logistics
Monitor cost control and job costing, quality reporting, forecasting and productivity
Must have strong Project Management & Time Management Skills.
Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
Ability to manage field crew including project engineers, foreman and assistant superintendent
Must be Results Driven.
Leadership. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management.
Problem Solving/Analysis. - Ability to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies or members of the local government offices.
Technical Capacity - Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical documents, financial reports and legal documents.

Education and
Experience:
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in architecture or construction science/construction management, engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years related experience in institutional projects. Must have been main superintendent on Ground up Multi-Family and Mixed Use construction projects.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree in architecture or construction science/construction management.
6-10 years related experience in residential and/or institutional projects.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
