About the Position: U.S. Army Research Institute''s (ARI) Science and Technology (S&T;) research is focused on developing innovative measures and methods to improve and enhance the Soldier lifecycle and human capital management that encompasses a wide range of topics (e.g., personnel, training, leader development, human resources, human relations) at the individual, unit, and organizational level by conducting scientific research and providing behavioral and social science expertise needed to inform human resource policies and strategies, develop fundamental theories, and investigate new domain areas in behavioral and social sciences with high potential impact on Army issues.
Multiple positions are available within ARI''s Foundational Science Research Unit (FSRU) and Personnel Assessment Research Unit (PARU).
ARI''s Foundational Science Research Unit, is responsible for the conduct of basic research supporting all ARI topics, as well as early applied research focused on the assessment and understanding of unit processes, adaptability, and effectiveness.
ARI''s Personnel Assessment Research Unit, is responsible for the development and validation of assessment and performance measures for a wide range of personnel selection and assignment decisions to include initial selection, promotion, and selection/assignment to positions with specialized requirements

The Department of the Army Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Department of Army intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Successful applicants are placed in a dynamic, developmental program with the potential to lead to a civil service career in the Federal Government.
After Program completion, Department of the Army Recent Graduates MAY be converted to a permanent position.

Department of the Army Recent Graduates Program Eligibles Positions are open to:
Recent graduates who have completed, within the previous two years or will complete no later than August 2014, a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution.
Veterans unable to apply within two years of receiving their degree, due to military service obligation, have as much as six years after degree completion to apply.

As a Research Psychologist you will be responsible for different phases of a research project or development effort by means of hypothesis development, research design, data collection, instrument development, statistical analysis of data and report writing. Responsibilities will include duties such as:
Develop appropriate testable hypothesis and/or evaluation criteria.
Prepare formal research plans using the major objectives, approaches/methods to be used in the solution of the problem, target population, independent and dependent measures, and equipment/resources.
Conduct all aspects of the research and development.
Develop appropriate data collection instruments and provide to team leader for approval.
Collect data, scores responses, and ensures sufficient data storage and retrieval capability.
Prepare appropriate technical reports, papers, articles, book chapters, and briefings.
Provide recommendations as to desirability to continue existing research or develop new research in particular areas.
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Degree: Successful completion (or will complete no later than August 2014) of at least a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
