Job Functions:
Work within the NetOps group on the operation of the firm's data/voice networks and manage the design, installation, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of such systems ensuring operational high availability.
Administer all operational aspects of the firm's data/voice network infrastructure.
Provide engineering, design, and troubleshooting of the firm's telephony systems, LAN/WAN infrastructure, Internet access, end-node connectivity, and network security analysis, as well as reporting and administration. Oversee continuous monitoring of these systems to ensure proactive and prompt issue resolutions.
Design, implement, and manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery contingencies and procedures.
Research and evaluate relevant products and technologies to make purchase recommendations.
Provide enterprise-level network engineering and architectural support to all other IT teams as needed.
Interact with all levels of personnel and outside vendors while responding to calls received from the call tracking software for ticket entry, tracking, and follow up.
Resolve specialized and/or high impact messaging issues and troubleshoot customer problems that may require visiting the customer directly.
Contribute to and update the solutions database and the projects management database.
Assist the Manager in the development, interpretation, administration, and communication of departmental strategies, policies, and procedures. Provide support by taking all necessary actions to achieve departmental goals and objectives, recognizing and identifying issues, and recommending solutions to the Manager.
Provide technical input to IT department in the design, enhancement, and documentation of in-house training programs.
In conjunction with the Technology Trainers, train others in relevant systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical knowledge.

years of related experience.
Experienced in core Cisco technologies as well as a variety of other networking systems providing Firewall, WiFi, VPN and Internet Access control functions.
Proficient in routing protocols and networking technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, Cisco routing and switching, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, VoiP, DHCP, DNS, Windows OS, and Active Directory.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
