We are currently seeking to hire Desktop Support Technicians that have a passion for supporting Heartland's mission to provide fair, honest and fully disclosed payments solutions to help businesses prosper.
The Desktop Support Technician's role is to provide excellent customer service and ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the desktop systems within the organization. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. Daily operational support of the VDI, including diagnosing and troubleshooting problems and escalate issues. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
Monitor helpdesk queues, process tickets, and interface with users in fixing issues
Workstation/Laptop/Printer installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Workstation/Printer setup and/or relocation
Support ongoing usability of virtual desktop computers within established standards and guidelines
Software installation, setup, and troubleshooting
Active Directory Users and Computers Management
Antivirus and patch management
Intermediate network troubleshooting
Assist with communication between other IT teams
Diagnose phone/VoIP issues

Core Competencies:
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Apple Operating Systems
Knowledge of Apple iPad and iPhone Operating Systems
Understanding of the VMware virtual environment and concepts
Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange/Outlook email environment
Intermediate understanding of networking structures, theories, principles, and practices
Ability to conduct research on issues related to job specification, standards and products as required
Good written and oral communication skills including technical documentation
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Education
High School Diploma/GED
Associates degree in the field of computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience
CompTIA A+/Network +, Microsoft MCP, Cisco CCENT certifications are preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
