The Director of the Emergency Department is accountable for coordinating and directing Nursing activities in accordance with current standards of practice and all applicable regulatory requirements. Duties include capital and operating budget development, policy development/revision, Quality Improvement. Personnel management and staff development. The director participates in hospital committee activity as needed, and acts as a liaison between the Emergency Department, Physicians and other Departments. Serves as Nurse Administrator on-call (as necessary), providing leadership and management to personnel during the off hours. Incumbent will also be responsible for daily core measures monitoring and staff compliance as well as any additional standards and/or collaborative such as but not limited to stroke, sepsis, chest pain.
Education:
Graduation for an accredited Nursing School Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
1. Desirable characteristics include 5 years RN experience, 2 of which were in critical care and 2 of which were in a leadership role. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
2. Must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to the patient's needs and to provide care needed as described to in policy and procedure.
3. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Licenses/Certificates: NM RN Licensure; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain licensure and certificationsEmergency Services (ED, ER)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
