The Cook prepares, cooks, and serves nutritious and appealing meals and snacks for the patients, preserves and stores such food, maintains an orderly and clean kitchen and storage area, and participates as a member of the staff to promote the recovery of the patients in our care. A representative list of duties and responsibilities is outlined below.
The ideal candidate for this position must have previous experience in a position with similar duties. Educational training in nutrition or food services is preferred. He or she must be able to maintain written records and interact appropriately with patients, staff, and others. In addition, he or she must maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while both on and off duty. Fluent English speaking and writing skills and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
