Position Type :6month To Hire; up to $85k/ year depending on expereince
Summary:
Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Perform system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Experienced in executing sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
Responsibilities:
Analyze Network access trendsand resolve bandwidth management issues for mission critical systems.Implement, troubleshoot, monitor and maintain all aspects LAN/WAN/VPN/networksfor high availability of parallel development, testing and production environments.Review SNMP alerts, use protocol-line analyzers (sniffers) and conduct log forensics in order to determine root cause analysis and resolution of complex with Software and Database Developers, Windows and AIX Server Administrators and Security personnel to analyze Systems Development Life Cycle (SCLC) requirements and troubleshoot anomalies. Draft and submit recommendedchange request proposalsnecessary fortimely mitigation of POA&Ms and CVE findings. Maintain system compliance with ClientFISMA IT Security and Information Assurance objectivesconcerning privacy of passenger screening information.
Minimum Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to; work on individual tasks, as well as team-oriented tasks, to prioritize competing priorities, work under a cross-matrix management structure, required to be on-call and respond in a timely manner, should be a quick learner, must be able to adapt to quickly evolving technology and priority changes and have a desire to work closely with other members of the IT/development team. Candidate should be a proactive self starter with exceptional follow up skills. Must possess excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
F5 Load Balancers (GTM/LTM),F5 Firepass VPN,Netscreen Firewalls, Cisco ASA/PIX Firewalls, Enterasys Dragon IDS, Cisco IDS, Cisco and Nortel Switches.
Education/Certification Requirement:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline with 5 or more years related professional experience. (Education can be substituted for 9 years of experience and should haveattained associate or professional level certifications from Cisco, Juniper or other vendors).
Working Hours:
Day, 8am-5pm, plus on-call/after hour support as necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
