Duration: 12 months and 40hr/wk

Job Description:
The Tactical Defense Systems Team works on air defense issues, in particular, air vehicle survivability, vulnerability of United States Air Force (USAF) aircraft to weapons systems, electronic countermeasures, and air surveillance for homeland defense. In support of these efforts the group operates two airborne testbeds and is developing several ground-based testbeds composed of state of the art instrumentation and sensors.
Two full time Engineers are needed to help with the design, development and implementation of the microwave, RF, and analog circuitry required for radar programs and various test systems. Additional duties will include Instrumentation Signal Interface Standards Verification and electronics mentoring. Candidate should have experience with using common RF test equipment (e.g., signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes). Additionally, candidates should have knowledge of and experience in designing linear, wide dynamic range RF receivers and waveform generation systems in VHF through Ka-bands and have a minimum of a MS or PhD.
