This position is located in the Office of Research and Development, National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory, Western Ecology Division, Pacific Coast Ecology Branch in Newport, OR.

Focus on one of the following taxa - echinoderms, amphipods, polychaetes, or wetland plants; and then synthesize the life history, distributional, and habitat information into the Coastal Biogeographic Risk Assessment Tool (CBRAT).
Check species attribute and distributional information extracted from CBRAT for errors and gaps for the target taxon using guidelines provide by EPA scientists.
Search the peer-reviewed literature and agency reports and databases for data on species' distributions, habitats, and/or abundances of the target taxon.
Participate in periodic discussions on the CBRAT user interface.
Participate in developing rules to evaluate species' vulnerability for the target taxon based on the available information. If you are selected, the entire period served under the Internship Program will be a trial period. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
