Provide resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope. Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures. Work as part of the GemFireXD team to provide very high throughput with predictable latency for applications with high scalability and availability requirements. Participate in specification, design, implementation, QA testing, evangelism and support of high performance in-memory database systems, as well as improve product robustness and product performance. Specific duties include: implementing new product features for GemFireXD, fixing product functional and performance defects; integrating GemFireXD with other products from Pivotal, VMware and EMC; integrating GemFireXD with open source products, e.g Apache Hadoop; building functional, performance, concurrent and scale test for the product using an in-house testing framework; debugging product issues and file reports, and working with other developers to diagnose and fix issues; and benchmarking with other relational databases and identify opportunities for optimization. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field plus 24 months experience in job offered, Student (R/A, T/A, Project) or computer related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1) SQLFire, 2) GemFire, 3) Derby, 4) vCenter, 5) vFabric License Server, 6) Hadoop, 7) Java Virtual Machine off-heap memory, 8) Java Virtual Machine tuning, 9) VMware SQLFire RowLoader, 10) VMware GemFire Continuous Query, and 11) Distributed Systems. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
