Our Facilities group in our WDC-area office has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Administrator. General functions of the position include: Oversight of general daily facility operations; liaison with internal and external clients at varying levels; develop project plans, and communicate strategy to upper management; multifaceted analysis and problem solving; team coordination.
Characteristic Duties and
Responsibilities:
Proactively identify current and future space constraints.
Assist with internal space allocation plans and document and complete staff moves/adds/changes.
Assist in layouts and provide technical support involving designing space layouts and renovation options.
Oversee and inspect projects involving repairs and minor renovations; and all maintenance to the facility.
Assist in identifying and resolving potential facility compliance issues related to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, fire code issues, building code requirements.
Emergency Warden Team Coordinator:
maintain Emergency Warden Team;
ensure proper training in emergency response and safety procedures;
liaison with Property Managers, Corporate Security and EH&S; contacts;
hold regular EWT meetings;
in the absence of a supervisor, serve as main point of contact for after-hours emergencies.
Responsible for monitoring and reviewing facilities service requests.
Provide reports summarizing facilities requests and ad hoc reports as needed to identify trends.
Analyze reports and make recommendations for changes and/or improvements to create greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field; 2-3 years prior experience in facility or operation support in a professional office environment desired. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience maybe substituted. BOMA/IFMA credentials desired.
Due to government requirements candidates must be a U.S. Citizen with the abilty to obtain/maintain a clearance.
Required knowledge of OSHA and ADA guidelines, and state and local building and fire codes, knowledge of NEC desired.
Proficiency in the use of computer software
required: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher), Adobe Acrobat, basic knowledge of ACAD;
preferred: MS Project
Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
Able to work flexible hours when needed; serves on a team to provide 24/7/365 response to emergency alarm calls and can be available on short notice to support requests during unusual hours.
Previous experience with CAFM/CMMS systems desired.
Prior supervisory experience strongly desired.

Experience:
Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, sketches, floor plans, specifications in order to participate and develop a project plan.
Intermediate understanding of skilled trades such as: equipment maintenance and repair, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other trades required to maintain operation and appearance of facilities.
Must possess ability to adjust to changing priorities and exhibit sound judgment.
Ability to interact with all staff levels in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and productively.
Proven ability to prioritize and solve practical problems.
Proven ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
U.S. Citizenship required. --Ability to transfer/obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance required. See --A drug screen will be required as part of the hiring process. Full Time
