Responsibilities:
Leadership of Capital and Expense Projects for Celanese Chemicals Clear Lake Plant as outlined below:
Coordinate front end work and design phase of the project
Lead the development of overall project scope, execution strategy, and cost estimate for funds request. Typical projects range from $100M - $5MM in size.
Prepare all necessary documentation for project funding working with Site Personnel, Business Team and Finance
Create projects in SAP to manage costs, oversee resource allocations and complete monthly spend forecasts
Issue construction packages and oversee project execution to ensure safety, cost and schedule goals are met
Provide support for pre-startup and commissioning activities
Responsible for final close out reporting and all documentation required for the project
Perform Engineering Design and Review for piping & mechanical packages as required
Qualifications:
Required Skills:

years industry experience

years experience working as a Project Engineer
Demonstrated knowledge of successful project management practices such as cost control, estimating, scheduling programs (MS Project, Primavera, etc), and forecasting
Able to plan and organize projects from scope development to construction
Ability to work in and foster a strong team environment with minimal supervision
Knowledge of chemical or refinery facilities and integration of project work in these facilities
Strong safety champion who will lead the project in achieving zero incidents and injuries
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to handle multiple activities simultaneously
General knowledge of ASME, API and PIP standards
BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Desired Skills:
Strong working knowledge of SAP Project Systems Module
Knowledge of gated work process for project management
Strong negotiation skills
Good meeting facilitation skills
Good working knowledge of the procurement processEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
