Logistics Manufacturing Engineering for Global Manufacturing Company
In need of people who are well versed in INTERNAL plant logistics and supermarkets
This person will work as a Logistics Engineer supporting new Product Development program.
Responsibilities will include managing the delivery and flow of materials throughout the facility of Prototype components, Pre-Build Components, Pilot Launch components, and Launch. Management will include the development of PFEP, delivery plans, milkruns, presentation to the assembly line, packaging, inventory and shortage reporting and management.
1. At least 2 years of experience required with Lean and Materials background.
2. Individual must classify each new purchased component and manufactured component and specify packaging requirements for each based upon CNH corporate standards.
Required
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Logistics or Supply Chain. 5-10 Years experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management. Previous experience working with lean concepts and Material Planning Processes. Must be Goal-Oriented, possess strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work in a team environment. Project Management Skills extremely beneficial.
Education &
Experience:
o 4 year minimum Engineering or Technical Degree related to Logistics or Supply Chain Development or Logistics/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing Material Planning and Logistics
Beneficial Knowledge Base and Background:
o PFEP (Plan for Every Part) principles
o Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and application of WCM (World Class Manufacturing)/Lean Principles.
o Right sized packaging
o Kan Ban techniques and application.
o Classification of Materials
o In-depth knowledge of MRP Systems
o In-depth knowledge of BOM Systems Management
o Knowledge of and experience in working in manufacturing production environments
o Shop floor layout for Material Flows
o Vis-Mockup
o Product View
o AutoCad abilities
o Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Must have command of Microsoft excel and abilities to work in/create databases
o ISO Familiarization
o Ability to work with multiple software in development of visual work instructions or documents
o Facilitate meetings with various departments and gain consensus on packaging/racks
o Adept use of Access databases and Excel. Ability to setup databases.
o EXCEL and ACCESS comprehension and use
o Can develop and create process flow charts and write work instructions
o Able to read blue prints
o Communications skills are extremely important
o Understanding of product development processes
o Design for Assembly Experience (DFA)
o Problem Solving Techniques
o Familiar with One-Piece-Flow Technology, JIT, Lean Manufacturing, or related philosophies.
Long-term contract assignment up to 18 months. Likely, to exceed 18 months, with company corporate approval.
$3-38/hrEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
