Position overview
Be part of the team that is driving a sensing revolution! LDC sensing technology is an exciting product family that is expanding to provide sensing solutions for customer needs in automotive, consumer, and industrial systems. As an Applications Engineer in the LDC Applications group, you will have the following
Responsibilities:
Customer Support
Responsibilities:
o Identify customer problems, propose, define, and validate solutions.
o Provide direct customer interface and collaborate with the field teams for driving key customers, design wins, and solving critical field issues in a timely manner.
o Support training and product demonstrations for internal and external customers.
o Deliver high quality collateral and development tools that make LDC easy to use for the best user
Experience:
o Collateral includes Datasheets, EVM designs, articles, app-notes, presentations, Reference Designs, FW, and SW tools.
Development
Responsibilities:
o Work with cross-functional teams for new product development projects to meet schedule and quality requirements
o Provide inputs to marketing and system teams and facilitate new product definitions.
Job requirements
Basic
Qualifications:
o 5 years technical experience with analog signal path circuits
o Customer engagement/support experience
o Experience with ADCs, DACs, operational amplifiers, and other signal path building blocks
o Basics and applications of microcontroller technology
o Basic software/scripting skills (GUI development, lab automation)
o Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
o Strong background in analog signal conditioning fundamentals, circuit analysis, and error budget analysis
o Expertise with common engineering equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, VNAs, and signal analyzers.
Preferred
Qualifications:
o MSEE
o Familiarity with magnetic field generation and interactions, including EMI evaluation
o Experience in systems applications
o Schematic design and PCB layout in Altium
o Experience with design, simulation and analysis tools at the component and system level
o Firmware development in C and/or assembly for microcontrollers, including MSP430, ARM, and C2000
o Software generation in Labview, VISA, VB, C, Perl or other PC level languages, including lab automation
