NOC - Network Operations Center Analyst / Systems Analyst
Systems Administrator
Palm Bay, FL
Seeking a motivated and professional Systems Analyst to join a fast growing team utilizing the latest technology.
Responsibilities:
Proficiency in administration of Linux Servers and Unix Servers
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Support Linux and Windows Application Systems
Administration of Event Management rules in Nagios, SCOM, and other monitoring tools
Monitor alerts mailbox and Event Management systems for Events and follow KB articles for resolution actions, performing functional escalations to on-call resources as needed
Monitor Application dashboards for indications of Incidents
Execute routine checklists to validate system functionality and batch process completion (backups, scheduled tasks, etc)
Invoke Incident Management process for Incidents that cannot be resolved within this team
System patching and standard changes
Document and communicate system status per process definitions
Required Skills
5
years' experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Strong Linux Server skills
Knowledge of database technologies with experience with MySQL andor Microsoft Sql Server
Advanced knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, SCOM, Solar winds, etc.
Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge and troubleshooting
Experience supporting Linux and Unix application systems
Administration of Linux Servers
Experience in high availability, business critical environments with 200
servers
Experience working with VMware clusters or comparable virtualization technology
Dynamic web technologies such as Apache, PHP or JSP
Cisco switches and routers
Network-Attached Storage (NAS) NetApp preferred
Storage Area Network (SAN) Hitachi HDS preferred
Industry certifications such as RHCE, CCNA, MCSE
