Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Software Engineer with a strong background in building scalable, high-quality and high-performance web applications on the Microsoft technology stack and experience with the entire SDLC. The role is responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications, as well as middle tier interfaces leveraging various web service technologies. The person hired for this position will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers, and business resources to build high performance enterprise systems. Applications developed will be widely varied, including customer portals, web services platforms, internal automation, tracking, and reporting tools and services.
Major
Responsibilities:
Consult on and develop robust architecture and write technical specifications
Build new systems with .NET 4.5/One ASP.NET/C#/ASP.NET/SQL Server 2008/2012/WCF
Design and develop features for existing platforms
Assist in designing and implementing interfaces for interaction with upstream and downstream partners
Assist in designing and developing strategies for the deployment of key services
Take ownership of projects and drive them to completion on schedule
Participate in an experienced, energetic team and contribute to a defined development schedule
All other responsibilities as assigned
Will occasionally be required to work outside usual hours of business in order to support releases without impeeding access to services during usual business hours, or to support production systems as needed
Education/
Experience:
BS in technology related field, or 8
years demonstrated industry experience on similar successful projects
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Strong desire to develop and innovate new technology
Must be self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible, strong on team collaboration, exhibit exceptional relationship management skills, and strive for excellence
Must work well in a structured change control and billing environment
Ability to manage an application through the entire development life cycle and to manage and account for time effectively
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment, as well as new concepts and software
Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
Comfort working with resources across disciplines in a production environment and at all client levels
Deep knowledge of .NET Framework 3.5/4.0/4.5
Expert experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, business logic, data access)
Expert experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Expert knowledge of REST, JSON, WCF, and AJAX
Expert knowledge of RDBMS platforms (5
years), SQL Server 2008/2012, Oracle experience will be considered.
Strong knowledge of version control systems, with a preference for TFS
Strong knowledge of testing strategies at the unit and application levels
Working knowledge of AWS/cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS, messaging, and client side frameworks

years experience as a developer with a portion of those in a senior or lead developer role
6
years experience with ASP.NET
3
years experience gathering business requirements and developing technical specifications
Optional/Additional Skills:
Mobile development experience/exposure preferred (middle-ware specifically)
Experience with jQuery or similar technologies
Experience with EDI standards a plus
Experience with EFT standards and processes a plus
Experience in LINQ, and Signlr a plus
