Our client is the leading manufacturer and marketer of branded healthcare and fitness products for the rehabilitation, therapy, and professional wellness markets. They are the number one provider of product solutions to physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, and professional massage therapists.
They are looking to hire a Director-Sourcing and Purchasing to be located out of their Akron, OH facility.
The Director- Sourcing and Purchasing will be responsible for planning and executing the strategic sourcing plan, in support of the company's growth objectives. The objectives will include costs, quality, and delivery targets as well as new product development / launches. He / she will report to the Global Supply Chain Director.

Desired education:
oB.S. degree in science or engineering field preferred, B.A. in business from an accredited university considered
oMBA and or CPM / CPIM designation strongly desired
oLean manufacturing and or six sigma green belt or higher preferred
Desired
Experience:
oA minimum of ten years progressive sourcing experience including international, packaging, logistics & supply chain, strategic sourcing, cost savings / continuous improvements, and commodity functions
oA minimum of 5 years management or leadership experience desired
oExtensive experience working in low cost supply base regions such as Asia and/or Eastern Europe is preferred including overseas manufacturing / sourcing transfers
oMust possess experience with driving service improvements and reduction of total cost of procurement
oMust have a proven track record of identifying and leading cost reduction initiatives
oMust possess strategic sourcing experience including complex contract and pricing negotiations and supplier development and relationship building
oFDA, ISO regulated industry experience is preferred
oTrack record of contributing to supply chain process improvements, and / or continuous improvements
oDemonstrated ability to drive change
oExperience tracking, analyzing and publishing market trends on key commodities
oOTC or pharmaceutical contract filling experience is desired

Desired technical skills/abilities:
oMust possess core sourcing skills including: industry analysis, negotiations, commercial agreements, competitive inquiry, supplier analysis
oMust possess an aptitude for, and/or interest in, technical topics,
oMust be interested in learning technical details / specification requirements of the materials / finished goods
oGood ERP or SAP process understanding are necessary capabilities
oMust be able to effectively manage multiple projects
oMust have strong PC software application knowledge using Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
oMust have good problem solving ability
oAbility to manage, drive and demonstrate results financially
oKnowledge in supply chain management
oMust be an expert in negotiation strategies and tactics
oStrong commercial / business acumen skills

Miscellaneous / other:
oMust be able to travel on short notice for extended periods of time (alone)
oKnowledge of global supply base is required

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
