Responsible for the acquisition of materials, equipment, & medium to major services as defined by the manager as best value on behalf of Generation customers. Oversees the project material and service needs of Generation customers as assigned by the Manager. Generally considered a position responsible for setting up and managing supply deals of moderate complexity.
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field preferred. May be offset by combination of Associates degree and/or sufficient years of directly related generation and/or sourcing experience for equivalent job skills and knowledge. Electric utility-related products or services experience preferred. Experience with a computerized purchasing system preferred.
Extrovert; analytical; comfortable with moderate levels of ambiguity; moderate financial analysis skills; good communicator (written, oral, listening), proficient with PC tools (Excel, Word, etc.), learns quickly, action oriented, able to think strategically, strong negotiating skills; experienced team leader & facilitator
Must be service minded and customer focused.
Ability to understand technical jargon used in the industry and profession.
Comfortable with new technologies
Some overnight travel requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
