We are seeking a strong Java Developer to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and demanding environment. The candidate will be expected to participate in all phases of the software development cycle and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will have to design, develop, and maintain software applications that are used to automate Back Office, Accounting, Treasury, and Compliance operations of the firm. The tasks involved in this process may include:
web-based GUIs using Java/J2EE on Linux platform
database design and development using UML and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL)
reporting applications using Java and Perl/ksh/Bash/Python
parsers for vendor data in CSV, XML, FIXML or SWIFT MT (ISO 15022) formats
shell scripts using Perl/Ksh/Bash/Python

Qualifications:
Required:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
Minimum 3 years of programming experience in Java/J2EE on UNIX/Linux
Strong knowledge of object oriented concepts and UML
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Independent, self-motivated, and detail oriented
Desirable:
Familiarity with RDBMS, preferably Oracle
Experience with XML, FIXML, and SWIFT messaging
Knowledge of financial instruments
Experience with IDE like Eclipse and Continuous IntegrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
