Application Engineer

Our client is growing and they need to add another HVAC Application Engineer to their staff. They develop industrial chemical coating equipment and sell world-wide. You will be responsible for leading and assisting the various design groups in the design, sizing and development of specifications and quotes for custom HVAC products utilized in their finishing systems. They are located in the Eau Claire area, about 90 minutes from the Twin Cities. It is a great place to raise a family.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7
years in applications of HVAC product; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience sizing equipment to application, including: direct fired, indirect fired, electric or alternative heating methods, evaporative, chiller water or alternative cooling methods.
Experience with make verses buy analysis
Ability to support sales team by giving customers comprehensible engineering specifications
Working knowledge of control systems including Allen Bradley and Siemens.
Good general knowledge of building automation systems, including NFPA and building code
Duties
You will be responsible for leading and assisting the various design groups in the design, sizing and development of specifications and quotes for custom HVAC products utilized in their finishing systems.
You will also be involved in sales presentations and engineering reviews to ensure selection meet specifications.
Select and size HVAC systems to comply with specifications; typical applications require sizing related to cfm, temperature, humidity and control sequencing. Selection of equipment dependent upon site utilities.
