Apply accounting concepts and interpret client financial statements and understand the relationship between the different statements to implement planning and budgeting systems using Oracle Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase.
Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods using a computer to develop and interpret information that assists management with financial decision making or other managerial functions.
Develop Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning and MS Excel solutions for planning, budgeting and forecasting, applying understanding of OLAP and multidimensional concepts.
Develop reporting and planning solutions using MS Excel to build Excel macros and Hyperion Solution applications for web based analytical reporting solutions to meet client financial reporting needs
Work closely with clients financial divisions and decision support personnel in support of the monthly and quarterly reporting cycles as well as monthly forecasting cycles.
Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions
Work onsite with financial professional end users to document their system requirements
Work with the business units to define and refine the variety of reporting and planning templates utilizing a variety of technical reporting options
Define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests
Project management capabilities and a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Analyze information obtained from clients to define and formulate the operational and financial problems that they are experiencing
Lead reporting template creation and support process using Hyperion Financial Reports and Smart-View. Build advanced budgetary reports using Excel and Smart-View
Serve as a liaison to the technical team to communicate requirements and specifications identified by business users and prioritized by business owners that must be implemented by the technical team.
Support business operations via the use of Hyperion technology solutions, including the development of reports, development of communications and training materials
Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand up meetings, reviews, release planning, demos and other project related meetings.
Develop and test business rules used to meet a clients specific reporting needs;
Perform quality assurance on newly developed system modules and assist on providing system maintenance to client IT solutions;
Perform unit testing, user acceptance testing and system testing to ensure the developed solution works properly and meets the requirements;
Train client on how to apply the software solution to their issue and develop training materials for end users
Proactively communicate project status, issues & risks to management through status reports
Resolve issues throughout the project life cycle. Identify risks, create risk logs and mitigate risks
Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task and provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
Manage project scope by ensuring changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
Define & maintain all implementation processes, manage implementation lifecycle; prepare documentation
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field or foreign equivalent (for each year not completed toward the degree requirement, one year of experience can be substituted) plus 4 years experience to include
Applying accounting knowledge to interpret client financial statements to design and develop enterprise performance management solutions using Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase.
Applying mathematical modeling and other statistical methods using Hyperion products to develop and interpret information that assists management creation of financial statements.
Applying OLAP and multidimensional concepts for developing planning, budgeting and forecasting solutions using Essbase & Planning and creating data and metadata load rules to build metadata hierarchies and load data to the budgeting and forecasting application.
Developing forecasting and budgeting process in Hyperion by analyzing clients financial statements and financial reports.
Working with financial professional end users to document their system requirements.
Designing and implementing planning and budgeting systems using Hyperion Planning.
Designing and implementing operational reporting systems using Hyperion Essbase.
Preparing management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions
Developing reporting and planning solutions using MS Excel and Hyperion Reports to build Excel and web based analytical reporting solutions to meet client financial reporting needs.

Using web based reporting best practices to develop Hyperion Reports
Conducting end user training sessions demonstrating the different features of the newly developed system.
Creating end user manuals and system documentation.
Analyzing and communicating stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members, and managing all requirements accordingly.
Conducting regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders needs and requirements continuously in view.
Managing all project aspects from the design stage through to completion and handover to the client
Using project management tools and software packages.
