SYSTEMS (PHP/LAMP/RUBY ON RAILS) DEVELOPER
Overview:
In this role you will be providing application support for various business systems managed by the Information Technology department. You will be designing, developing and maintaining new and existing web based and back-end applications. These include systems such as Websites, Intranets, and other related Systems. You will also work closely with Information Technology Services for troubleshooting application systems related issues. Various duties relating to architecting, developing, maintaining and supporting business application systems will be required.

Responsibilities:
Create technical design for new applications or modifications to existing applications.
Develop new web and back-end applications.
Maintain and enhance existing web and back-end applications.
Perform full unit and integration testing.
Create technical documentation as needed.
Perform database design, development, and deployment as needed.
Work with third party resources as needed.
Lead technical assignments from architecture to deployment.
Provide 24 x 7 production supports for application or database related issues.
Provide mentoring to developers.
Experience:
Technical Skills:
Exceptional development skills in PHP or Ruby on Rails (ROR).
Advanced understanding of JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, Ajax.
Strong understanding of database design, development and management.
Strong Experience with SQL.
Detailed background and understanding of web technologies .
Strong knowledge of version control systems (ideally GIT).
Desired (Not Required):
Comfortable in a Linux environment.
Experience with Java or .NET.
Experience with content management systems such as Drupal.
Experience with CRM applications such as SugarCRM.
Database tuning and MySQL background.
jQuery experience.
Experience using HEAT support software.
Computer Science or related degree.
