Summary: Assumes responsibility for staff orientation, competency assessment, and professional development of the organization's clinical staff on the assigned unit/department.? Provides efficient and effective educational services and resources which enable staff to meet patients and other customers' needs for high value, high quality, cost sensitive patient- and family-centered care within the framework of service excellence and evidence-based best practices.? Fosters teamwork within and across units/departments.? Plans, develops, and facilitates opportunities for staff to continuously refine and advance their competencies in patient care, teaching, critical thinking and judgment.? Essential Job Functions: 1. Researches, develops, implements, promotes, delivers, facilitates, documents, and evaluates education programs using evidence-based approaches and frameworks that support the organization's and assigned unit/department's goals, objectives, and regulatory standards and also meet the ongoing educational needs of staff on that assigned unit/department. 2. Functions as unit/department educational resource for all staff on assigned unit/department. 3. Plans and implements unit/department-specific orientation programs. 4. Provides ongoing staff development, continuing education, skills and competency assessments. 5. Supports quality assessment and improvement initiatives and processes. 6. Fosters teamwork within and across units/departments. 7. Accountable for following the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability. Accountable for effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities and for completing responsibilities within designated (or agreed upon) timeframes. Completes responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals and values. 8. Responsible for the Accountabilities associated with this position in support of the organization. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Competencies: o Work is very diverse, complex and includes a broad range of duties, personal communications and interaction with intra- and interdepartmental staff o Ability to assess, plan, implement, market, and evaluate education programs/activities based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria specific to staff and population served on the assigned unit/department o Demonstrated knowledge/skills in needs assessment, curriculum and materials development, implementation, and evaluation o Demonstrated ability in learning facilitation and ability to transfer clinical/educational knowledge to learners (students, staff, patients, families) utilizing principles of adult learning o Must be able to effectively and collaboratively communicate clinical/educational knowledge to learners (i.e. students, staff, patients, and families) o Must be able to demonstrate or to acquire the skills to complete the unit/department-specific nursing competency assessment checklist o Accountability for professional nursing practice, commitment to staff development/patient care, and commitment to uphold the Patient Bill of Rights and relevant regulatory standards o Proficiency with web-based learning management systems, document management systems, performance improvement/quality assurance programs, WebEx, Adobe Acrobat, Cerner (CPOE, Power Orders, Power Chart), EMR as applicable o Ability to form collaborative partnerships with internal and external customers to support key learning and business objectives o Requires ability to critically think and? make judgments and decisions about training content, methods, materials, knowledge transfer, implementation steps and timetables License, Certification, Education or
Experience: REQUIRED for the position: o Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington o Bachelors in Nursing, BSN o 3 years of recent professional RN experience o 4 years of recent Pediatrics experience o NICU experience with level III minimum o Preceptor experience o Current Healthcare BLS Provider certification by date of hire o Demonstrated ability to teach Cerner Power Chart and Power orders to new staff. o Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate education programs. o Must be able to demonstrate competency in leadership skills, in learning/ facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills. o Must demonstrate knowledge/skills in needs assessment, curriculum and materials development, implementation, and evaluation of education programs o Must be a dynamic, motivated and creative self-starter, who continuously keeps abreast of current trends in staff development and with own professional growth. DESIRED for the position: o Master's in Nursing, MSN o Educator/Instructor experience o NRP Instructor Certification o PICC Nurse Certification o STABLE Instructor Certification o Prior experience with Learning Management System (LMS) and creating web-based training o One year in a leadership or teaching role or equivalent.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
