#### Primary Responsibilities
Perform product safety/quality inspections on home appliances such as refrigerators, washer/dryers, dishwashers, etc. according to specific client requirements.

#### Specific responsibilities
Review all instructions and documents to ascertain procedures and objectives of assignment prior to start of inspection
Review inspection criteria and all information for completeness prior to start of inspection
Record all observations and take photos for final report
Execute inspection in proscribed time frame within proscribed costs
Execute all work with a professional demeanor aligned with the SGS Integrity Policy
Deliver well-written electronic report along with photo documentation within proscribed time frame
Identify, label and prepare samples for forwarding to laboratory if testing is requested
Provide estimate of mandays needed to perform inspection based on lot/sample size/AQL as requested
Provide travel cost estimates as requested
Arrange travel to facility
Perform technical report reviews as needed
#### Profile
Experience in either the manufacture or repair of home appliances
Knowledge of Inspection Levels, AQLs and sampling plans, ANSI/ASQ Z14 (ISO 2859-1)
Demonstrated proficiency in any or all of the following inspection types:
? Initial Production Check (IPC)
? During Production Check (DuPro)
? Final Random Inspection (FRI)
? Loading Supervision
? Sampling
? Quantity Verification
? Label Verification
? Defect/Claims Inspection
? Factory Evaluations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of manufacturing process for home appliances
Knowledge of safety requirements for home appliances
Understanding of factory/warehouse/dock safety rules and procedures
Two year degree from college or technical school or equivalent experience in quality control in home appliance industry
Experience with Electronic products a plus
#### Skills
2 Year degree from college or technical school or 5 years experience in quality control
Ability to read/interpret technical documents and work instructions
Ability to write routine technical reports related to inspection services
Ability to speak effectively before clients
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook a must
Detail oriented
High level of integrity
Strong inter-personal skills
Second language a plus (Spanish and/or French)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
