Designs and coordinates business development activities for Samaritan Health Plans' commercial lines of business. Builds market position by locating, developing, defining and closing business relationships in accordance with the organizational strategy. Collaborates with internal and external resources for competitor and market analysis and research. Develops strategies to obtain new contracts and referrals. Supports other Health Plan sales and marketing activities as directed.
Bachelor''s degree in Communications, Health Care Administration, Finance, Business or related field required.
Four (4) years experience in business development, planning analytics or professional marketing and public relations required.
Experience and/or training in the use of financial and business software applications, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
Professional experience in writing, editing, presentation and project management or coordination required.
Oregon Insurance license required within 90 days of hire.
Health insurance experience preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
