Project Manager
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this Project Manager position will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets. Building and managing project teams, maintaining project timelines with subcontractors, verifying subcontractor progress, and ensuring Quality control throughout the life cycle of projects is at the core of this position. The incumbent should be able to concurrently manage multiple projects within Virginia and will primarily focus on the execution of security and fire life safety projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage multiple projects concurrently from contract award to project closure
Manage project related efforts to include: change orders, labor planning requirements, weekly progress reports, material and equipment deliveries, completion dates and other elements as required to lead the project in accordance with approved budget
Develop and maintain project schedules
Act as primary interface for owners / contractors / customers.
Conduct / attend construction meetings, maintain safety programs, coordinate project close-out documentation
Identify and price change orders according to the needs of both the customer and the project
Ensure subcontractors remain accountable to the published project schedule, as well as a high level of quality installation
Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections
Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, invoices / payment applications as well as utilization
Conduct pre-bid / pre-upload reviews of projects to validate costs and execution strategies
## Qualifications
1 years project management experience in the electrical construction industry, Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Business
Effective managerial / leadership skills
Strong analytical and communication (verbal / written) skills
Solid time management skills
Ability to work well independently as well as be a team player
Proficient in the use of personal computers including MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
Valid driver''s license with good driving record.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
